Christmas 2020

 I hope if you're reading this that you had a marvellous Christmas. I had lots of fun and presents and some new friends came to stay. Plus Herself and I have been out for frosty walks every day. I'm hoping for snow now so that I can make full use of my favourite present.

Garden Centre Christmas

I love the bright lights and sparkliness of Christmas. So many opportunities for me to show off my furry cuteness (yeah, right). We went to a garden centre at the beginning of Advent which was marvellous fun.

Newcastle

I hope you had a happy Christmas and New Year. I made a new friend called Bertie, who I'll introduce you to below, and we went to Newcastle with Herself for a few days. Lots of fun had by all.

I went for a scamper along the Quayside on the evening we arrived.
Bertie stayed at the hotel because he 'needed to guard' the chocolates we'd brought with us....

We caught a train to Whitley Bay. It was very windy and cold.
If you look closely you can just make out an aeroplane and St Mary's Lighthouse above my head.

The Baltic behind us is a (weird) contemporary art gallery.

 

The art may be a bit strange but you get a great view from the Baltic.

Merry Christmas

It's very Christmassy in our house. Presents under the tree, carols playing, notes everywhere reminding Herself to defrost the turkey, tinsel in every nook and cranny.
Because tomorrow is Jesus' birthday! Yay!

Happy Birthday Jesus!

Mary and Joseph had to leave their home and travel down south to Bethlehem.
Mary was pregnant and Donkey got tired and kept lying down.
But everyone smiled.

By the time they arrived everywhere was full and they ended up with the animals.
Eugh.
Donkey was happy though.

May and Joseph didn't get much rest that night because Jesus arrived.
Donkey looked on and smiled.

Other people were busy that night too...
An angel freaked out some shepherds who'd pulled the night shift.
'The Saviour of the World has just been born!'

The shepherds (with Sheep 1 and Sheep 2) went straight into town to see the new baby.
Everyone smiled.

Even more people were busy that night.
In the east, some wise men suddenly spotted an unusual star.
'Oooooh look, that means a new king has just been born. Let's go and see him.'

Camel, accompanied by the wise men, travelled all the way to Bethlehem.
They brought the baby King Jesus special gifts:
gold (nice),
myrrh (smelly),
and frankincense (no idea ??Frankenstein).
Everyone smiled.
