Long Weekend: Wells (Part 3)

We spent the last part of our long weekend looking around Wells.

Wells Cathedral was built in the 13th century.

This is the moat around the Bishop's Palace.

Impressive entrance to the Bishop's Palace.

This is the entrance to the Bishop's Palace's gardens.

Lots of marvellous archways and windows for me to pose in front of.

A large tower in the gardens - no idea what it's there for.

Posing again.

And again.

Posing in a tree.

Looking out over the moat.

That's the chapel behind me.
I was a bit tired in this photo so I'm sucking my thumb.

This is Vicars' Close.

Couldn't wait to devour this brownie and hot chocolate
after all that sightseeing.

Long Weekend: Cheddar Gorge (Part 2)

The Sunday of our long weekend was marvellously sunny with clear blue skies which was wonderful timing since we went to Cheddar Gorge.

Beautiful day in Cheddar.

Can't beat sunshine, rocks, water and greenery for a day out.

I feel very small.

Where's Scamper?

Being a brave bear, sitting all by myself on a log bridge.

I was a bit worried in case I fell off the log.

If you look very carefully, you can see Himself waving his arms about.

It's a double thumbs up for Cheddar Gorge.

Himself thought this was funny.
I don't know why....

Just posing.

Buying cheddar in Cheddar Gorge.
(You just have to, don't you?)

Long Weekend: Bristol (Part 1)

The three of us recently had a long weekend in and around Somerset. I was intrigued by the accents; they roll their Rs. The Saturday was mostly rainy but we still enjoyed mooching round Bristol and the Clifton Suspension Bridge; Herself and I had fun.

Starting the weekend right, with a cocktail.

Hello Morph!

Woof woof!

Boo! Grrrr!

May I introduce Isambard Kingdom Brunel,
designer of the Clifton Suspension Bridge.

Ta daa.

It was very windy and cold crossing the bridge. But fun.

Bit cloudy but still a marvellous view.
